The Huntsman Guild
Overview
Note: The Huntsman Guild is currently under development, and might suffer from changes in the future. It currently offers no contracts.
Mondain's Horde seeks to take over Britannia and we're unable to fight them alone for much longer. We need champions to help find a way to defeat Mondain once and for all.
Purchase one of our bounty contracts on higher ranking members of Mondain's Horde and seek your target out. They will likely have a cache of treasure that will serve our guild well, bring the cache you find back to us and we will break the spell that seals it.
Guard yourself in your mission, Mondain's minions are powerful.
How to join
You can find The Huntsman Guildmaster, inside Britain's Guard Post (1409, 1717, 20). Say join and drop 1000gps on him to join the Guild.
If you're a red player, you can find The Huntsman Guildmaster in Buccaneer's Den Northwest of the Bank (2714,2167).
After you join, say buy to the Huntsman to open the menu with the available options to you.
Contracts
There are five tiers of contracts, from Lvl1 to Lvl5, for each level you can purchase specific monsters contracts. Please note that a contract might not be available if another player has bought it already.
Upon buying a contract, you will get a contract on your backpack, if you double-click it, it will tell you the location of the monster that you need to kill (e.g.: Wyvern in Destard Level 1), and if you're the same region as the monster, an arrow will appear on screen telling your where to go.
You need to search for that specific Wyvern (different colour and title on screen) and kill it to retrieve the cache from its loot.
Here's the catch thought, contracts are generated by hunting activities in the dungeons, as sighting of those monsters is required, otherwise the guild has, initially, no knowledge of where these monsters are.
Note: There's a cooldown period of 15m after you buy a contract when you can't buy more contracts.
Caches
By killing Mondain's Horde monsters, you get a cache in their loot. Right now there's a cooldown period of 30m. After you get a cache, and you kill another monster before the cooldown expires, you won't get a second cache.
Whenever you have a cache on your backpack, you can go back to the Huntsman guild and drop the cache on them so that the Court's mage can unseal it.
You check the progress by double clicking on the Huntsman and choose "Open Cache".
Caches take quite some time to unseal, in short, them take 90 minutes per level:
UnsealTime(minutes) = 90 * CacheLevel
In other words: a level 1 cache takes 90 minutes to unseal, a level 5 cache takes 450 minutes to unseal. You can still fulfil other contracts while you wait.
Rewards
After the Court's mage unseals a cache, its contents are returned to you. Rewards consist of magical armour and weapons with levels above the Supremely Accurate, Vanquish and Indestructible that you usually find in monsters.
You can check the magical properties of your weapon/armor by using Item Identification
Supplies
One of the major perks, aside from cache's loots, is the ability to purchase supplies.
Right now the available supplies are:
- bag of reagents (100 reagents each) (2400gps)
- half bag of reagents (50 reagents each) (1200gps)
- 100 clean bandages (300gps)
- 25 Heals (600gps)
- 25 Cure (700gps)
- 100 arrows (200gps)
- 100 crossbow bolts (200gps)
